Mondays, 7-10pm
January 6th - March 3rd
This course will have multiple show instead of one grad show, dates TBD Spring 2025.

This class picks up where we left off at the end of Advanced Stand-Up (now called Level Two). You've got at least 10 minutes of material, so let's start building the other qualities necessary to be a successful professional. While this class will have opportunities for writing and punch-ups, its focus is to study a career in comedy from a holistic perspective, taking your individual strengths and weaknesses into consideration.

Some example lesson topics:

Building your brand as a performer
How to network within and outside of the DFW market
When and how to jump into the festival circuit
The kind of attributes we look for in hosts and how you can become a better candidate
How to pitch yourself and your shows to clubs and venues
And more!!!

The capstone project for this class is to produce a show at DCC. If successful, you may receive regular booking. There is no guarantee that students will be booked to host weekends at DCC, but we are looking to use this class as a way to develop talent to perform on our stage.

This class is eight weekly sessions running from January 6th, 2025 to March 3, 2025. Class will not meet on January 20th in honor of MLK Day. The instructor is Magen King. Classes are non-refundable and all sales are final. Students must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate, and must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook.
