Not sure if you want to take a comedy class? Start here! Our bimonthly introductory (free!) Improv 101 drop-in class is designed for the student who wants to dip a toe into the wild world of improvised comedy.

Your first class is free! The workshop takes place every second and fourth Saturday at 4:00pm. The session lasts one hour.

Follow the fun and get out of your comfort zone with an Improv class! Learn how to be a better listener so you can create hilarious comedy with the help of your scene partner. Whether you come alone or with a group of friends, you’ll feel a deeper sense of connection to the people around you by the end of the class. You’re gonna love it!

Improv developed in the mid-20th century out of the experimental theater movement. Drawing inspiration from drama exercises designed for children, the pioneers of Improv explored concepts like “Yes, and…” and began creating improvised sketches from audience suggestions. Through play, a codified set of “rules” developed, and students of the original pioneers began to spread this new form of comedic performance, Improv, around the world!
