LOTTERY: To get on the list, sign up Thursday – Tuesday and hope to be chosen in the lottery system. The list is posted Tuesday evenings on our Instagram story, on our Facebook page, and in all the groups that we advertise the open mics in.
STAND-BY: If you are not chosen for the open mic list, you can still get a stand-by spot! Stand-by spots are first-come, first-served, signups starting Wednesday at 7:15pm at the Club. The Open Mic now starts with eight standby spots. Following the first eight stand-by performers will be thirty, 5-minute spots chosen from the lottery. The mic will conclude with eight more standby spots.

QUEER FACTOR
Any LGBTQ+ identifying individuals can submit to be in QUEER FACTOR, a comedy showcase and variety show that highlights the best and funniest of our queer community! We are currently accepting submissions for all types of performers whether it be stand up, storytelling, sketch, improv, or something experimental! We want our show to be as varied and diverse as our amazing community, and we want to showcase as many LGBTQ+ performers as we can over the next several months. This is open to all talent and experience levels, so submit now!

STUDENT SPECIAL HAPPY HOUR
See them now before they’re famous! This show features acts performed by current and former students from DCC’s core curriculum tracks. Submit your name upon arrival for prizes including swag, free food, and even a class gift certificate!
With core classes in Sketch, Stand-Up, multiple forms of Improv, and Storytelling, DCC offers the most hours of instruction per course of any training program in the DFW Metroplex. With classes capped at a maximum of 10 participants, students receive individualized attention and mentorship from qualified instructors, all of whom are working performers. Our program is designed to support total beginners on their journey whether they’re pursuing a fun hobby or a career in comedy!
